If you think about fitness and everything that goes with it you will most of the time think about happy and positive things and feelings. Let's be honest... staying fit and healthy is not always easy and the focus and discipline you need to achieve this is not always on the level it should be but at the end you definitely get so much more out of this.
During physical exercise, the brain also releases endorphins, chemicals known to produce feelings of euphoria, commonly associated with a “runner’s high.” Endorphins trigger the release of sex hormones, such as norepinephrine, which enhance mood and create a sense of well-being. Exercise can also boost happiness levels by helping to reduce stress. When we exercise, our bodies burn the stress hormone cortisol. Too much stress, and high cortisol levels, can increase feelings of nervousness and anxiety while decreasing motivation and immune function.
The body increases blood flow to the brain and stimulates the release of special hormones such as endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine when a person exercises or works out and keeps himself physically active in any way. Increased physical activity causes the release of these hormones.
Natural pain relievers are endorphins. They aid in the alleviation of discomfort and the enhancement of body self-esteem. Serotonin aids a person’s ability to sleep soundly and maintain a calm and stable state of mind. Dopamine, on the other hand, is a happy hormone. It encourages the body to engage in activities that make it feel good. It activates the brain’s pleasure and wellness centers.
Furthermore, increased physical activity helps to boost immunity by increasing immune responses in the body. It allows the body to fight off any incoming infections and keep them healthy.
Exercises also assist the body’s normal regulatory mechanisms, such as heart rate, blood pressure, blood sugar level, cholesterol level, breathing rate, and so on, in efficiently regulating and thus protecting the body from chronic illness and keeping it fit and healthy.
Exercise gives meaning to your mundane life. To begin your day, you have a mission. Adding exercise to your to-do list will improve your mood and confidence. Reaching your daily fitness goal and engaging in physical activity will keep you motivated to achieve your objectives throughout the day. And the sense of accomplishment will boost your confidence in your ability to achieve more. As a result, you’ll be happy and inspired the majority of the time.
Stay fit, stay happy and say hello to the new happier you!
